The haque Youth Peace Festival
Last Saturday was the liberation day here in Holland. This day marks the end of the end of the German occupation during the Second World War. Culture Clash organized a festival to celebrate this. A lot of people had a blast. But working on such a festival means one thing for use. We where gonna run our asses off. And we did. There where dance acts, fashion shows, singers, rappers etc. A lot of acts and a lot of people.
I was one of the people who worked on the fashion shows. No I wasn’t one of the models. I taught the models how to walk etc on the catwalk. I may be the only heterosexual male who teaches girl how to walk like girls.
On the day itself I was a stage manager. This means I worked backstage and never saw any of the acts. Judging by the response of the crowd and what people told me at the end, the event was a success. Next time I would like to be one of the people that can actually see some acts.
I got a few glimpse of the fashion shows, I made sure I got to see the girls that were still a bit insecure. My girls gave a good show. There was a little trouble back stage. But what do you expect, a group of girls all in one room stressed about the way they look. And at a fashion show you have to stress about your looks. But the trouble was handled with and at the end of the day everybody had a good time. These girls are ready for the next event.
Every event we learn something new. This one was no difference. So every event is better then the event before.
See you at our next event.
