Notes on my life

Yep there is a special day for the dutch queen. this day is April 30th. I’m not gonna get into the history of this holiday but if you are interested you can read it here or the dutch version here.

The night before queens day there are parties and outdoor concerts in the Hague. To bad I missed it. I was working in the cafe. I had to work until midnight. I was planning to join the party after work. But we had a very busy night so I worked until 3 in the morning.

But the next day. It was party time. I went to Amsterdam with Shyra to have some fun. We met Merel there. We spent all day walking, drinking, laughing etc. This is a day when everybody can dress as silly as they want. as long as it is orange. While we where walking I said something like “I want a silly hat.”

Having said that they convinced me to buy a very silly cowboy/pimp hat. Any other day this would be the most embarrassing thing I could wear. But I had a lot of fun with the hat.

While having a little break and waiting for our pizza we made a fun funny pictures with the hat. The pictures are made with my mobile phone, so the quality is not that good. But you get an Idea of what we looked like. We looked like a couple of strange pimp/cowboy wierdo’s.

Shyra and Merel also had a little fun with the hat …… and my sunglasses.

The whole day we tryed to contact Joey and Lucinda but there was no or little network service. At the end of the day we finally met them at leidseplein. We sat down drank a few beers and started talking. After a while we went to the cave. This is a small rock/metal cafe/club. Heavy metal music, Cold beer, nice people. What more do you want. It was my first time in the cave but I enjoyed it very much. This is a cafe/club I’ll visit again. Warning. This is not a club you want to go to if you do not like heavy metal.

At the end of the day we had to take the train back home. The train was packed. I was to tired to walk from the station to home so I took a taxi. My bed never felt to good. It is a wonder I got up in time to go to school.
